Welcome Check Web

Frequently asked questions

For agencies

Who is Welcome Check Web for?

Web design, WordPress, Shopify, SEO and maintenance agencies that look after many client websites and want to add recurring accessibility monitoring to their care plans.

What do I get each week?

For every client site: an automated scan of up to 10 pages, a list of issues that are new, fixed or reappeared since the last scan, a prioritized fix list with suggested fixes, and a white-label report (web page or PDF) with your agency name and logo.

Can I resell it under my own brand?

Yes. Client reports carry your agency name and logo and no Welcome Check Web branding, on every plan. You set your own price to clients.

What can I tell clients it does?

That it is automated weekly accessibility monitoring that finds common, automatically detectable WCAG 2.2 A/AA issues and tracks changes over time. Do not present it as ADA compliance, a legal safe harbor, or a replacement for manual testing. It is none of those.

Are the fix suggestions AI-generated?

No. Suggested fixes come from our rule library: specific guidance and example code for each failed rule, plus the affected elements. They are a starting point for your developer, not an automatic fix.

What does the founding agency offer include?

The first 10 agencies to subscribe pay 30% less for as long as they keep their subscription. The live counter on the pricing page shows how many founding places are left.

Is this legal advice or a compliance certificate?

No. Results are informational. This service is not legal advice, a compliance certification, or a substitute for comprehensive manual accessibility testing.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Plans are month to month with no contract. If you ask within 30 days of your first charge, we refund it.

About the scanner

What does Welcome Check Web check?

It loads your page in a real Chrome browser and runs axe-core, an open-source accessibility engine, with the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 Level A and AA rule sets. That covers issues such as missing alternative text, low color contrast, unlabeled form fields, empty links and buttons, missing page language and invalid ARIA.

Is the free scan really free?

Yes. A single-page scan is free and needs no account. You can leave an email address to get the full report with every issue and fix links.

Can an automated scan tell me my site is accessible?

No. Automated tools detect only part of all accessibility barriers. Keyboard use, screen reader experience, meaningful alt text, and plain-language content still need testing by a person. Use the scan to find and fix the detectable problems quickly, then test manually.

Is this legal advice or a compliance certificate?

No. Results are informational. This service is not legal advice, a compliance certification, or a substitute for comprehensive manual accessibility testing.

How does the score work?

The score starts at 100 and goes down for each type of detected issue, weighted by impact (critical, serious, moderate, minor) and by how many elements are affected. It only reflects automatically detectable issues, so a high score is not proof that a page is accessible.

Automated accessibility scan. Results are informational and may not identify every accessibility issue. This service is not legal advice, a compliance certification, or a substitute for comprehensive manual accessibility testing.
